Oleagineux

(colza, sunflower, soybean)

At the world level, today, the main oils comes from  palm,  soya,  rapeseed and  sunflowerseeds .

On the European market and in particular in France, "soft seeds " (rapeseed and sunflower) hold an important place as a complement to  soya. They come from essentially from the European Union,  Black Sea,  Australia and  Canada. So, our industry imports are  naturally from these countries, the other important producers which are China and India are consuming their own production.

Today, the industry of oleaginous seeds is divided between a food use and an energy use, biofuels represent new important outlets.
